How to read this table
Comparing the series allows analysis of both short‑term price fluctuations and the cumulative inflation effect since the start of each calendar year. The rows differ by the comparison base: the first shows monthly growth, the second records price change relative to December of the previous year. When studying the data, attention should be paid to periods of sharp spikes and periods of relative price stability, which provide a clear view of the dynamics of purchasing power and economic processes
What is visible in these numbers
Observations are monthly and cover 432 periods. There are 465 cells with numbers out of 864 (53.8%). There are many gaps — some items were observed only in specific periods, which should be taken into account when making comparisons
These series are used to recalculate long-term contracts, adjust revenue from previous years to current money, and verify whether the selling price is outpacing the general price growth

Period and application
The data cover the period from January 1991 to December 2026 and are updated monthly. The information is useful for economists, analysts, budget planners and researchers studying price history in Russia. The statistics enable retrospective market trend analysis and forecasting for various non‑food market sectors
How it is calculated
Rosstat specifies: September 2026 as a % of December 2025. Please note that a denomination was carried out in January 1998, resulting in a 1000-fold reduction in the price scale. Excluding statistical information for the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions
