How to read this table

Rows should be compared by the share of each category in the total volume of funds to understand what portion of the budget went toward mandatory payments versus consumer goods. The table presents six rows, including the total value, which always equals 100 percent. This allows for observing the actual ratio between basic needs and other expenditure items across different years

What is visible in these numbers

Highest values: Total monetary income (in percent) (100), Total monetary income (in percent) — Purch… (86.2), Total monetary income (in percent) — Purch… (21). The gap between the highest and lowest is 8.06 times

Observations are annual; total periods 33. 192 of 198 possible values are filled (97%). Gaps exist but are isolated: for some items observations were not always conducted

Period and application

The indicators cover nearly five decades and are updated according to the Rosstat publication schedule for living standards. This information is useful for economists, sociologists, and those studying consumer behavior and the dynamics of changes in household expenditure structures over a long historical period

How it is calculated

By these rows it is calculated what share of the family budget is occupied by your category and whether there is room for price increases
