How much this is per family

The minimum is set for one person. For a family, the amounts are added according to its composition.

Two working parents and two children. 2 × 20,438 + 2 × 18,188 = 77,252 rubles per month. By Russian standards, the same family reaches 78,030 rubles, a difference of 778 rubles.

Mother with a child. 20,438 + 18,188 = 38,626 rubles.

Two non‑working pensioners. 2 × 16,125 = 32,250 rubles.

One working adult. 20,438 rubles. This is the amount below which a salary in Sverdlovsk Oblast is considered insufficient for living.

Unified child benefit

To receive the unified benefit, the family’s per‑capita income must be below the national minimum, i.e., 18,750 rubles. For a family of four this means that all incomes together do not reach 4 × 18,750 = 75,000 rubles per month. For a family of three the threshold is 56,250 rubles. In addition to income, the Social Fund looks at assets, deposits and the employment of adults.

Fixed‑amount alimony

If the payer has irregular earnings or part of the income in kind, the court may set alimony as a fixed amount rather than a share. It is linked to the minimum for a child in the region where the child lives. Half of the minimum in Sverdlovsk Oblast is 9,094 rubles per month, the full minimum is 18,188. When the minimum is revised, the alimony amount is indexed together with it. How alimony is otherwise calculated and what the average salary has to do with it is explained in the article about average salary for alimony.

How much is left for the debtor

When a debt is collected, the person must retain an amount not lower than the working‑age minimum in their region. For a resident of Sverdlovsk Oblast in 2026 this is 20,438 rubles per month. If there are dependent children, their minima can be added to this amount.

The working‑age minimum rose from 13,379 to 14,717 rubles. Until 2021 the figure was revised each quarter; now it is set for the whole year at once.
