Number of people registered with the Social Fund and receiving a pension as of 1 January each year. Includes all pension types: old‑age, disability, survivor and social pensions.
The decline since 2019 is due to the increase in retirement age: fewer new old‑age retirees are added than leave the recipient pool.
Data are not originally from Rosstat: they are provided by the Social Fund (until 2023 – the Pension Fund); Rosstat publishes them in its compilations.
Employed retirees are included: registration is based on the fact of pension assignment, not on employment status.

No. Pensions of security forces are assigned by bodies other than the Social Fund and are not included in this series.
