How to read this table
Comparing these series helps understand how purchasing power has changed over different periods. The first series shows monthly fluctuations, reflecting current price dynamics within the year. The second series reveals the cumulative total of changes since the start of the reporting period. When studying the table, attention should be paid to periods of price spikes, which clearly illustrate economic changes in the country over decades
What is visible in these numbers
Observations are monthly and cover 432 periods. There are 465 cells with numbers out of 864 (53.8%). There are many gaps: a significant portion of the positions were included in the observation only in certain periods, and such series should be compared with each other with caution
The figures are useful for price revisions, disputes with suppliers regarding indexation, and calculating real rather than nominal sales dynamics

Period and application
The information covers the period from 1991-01 to 2026-12 and is updated monthly. The statistics are useful for analysts, economists and businesses for long‑term planning, assessing financial stability and adjusting investment strategies. Current data allow tracking ongoing inflation processes and building forecasts based on accumulated historical information
How it is calculated
What is noted in the source itself: in accordance with the Federal Plan of Statistical Works, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 6, 2008 No. 671-r, Rosstat develops the indicator "Consumer Price Index" (CPI),…. )Excluding statistical information for the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions
