Incidence of selected infectious and parasitic diseases, 2010–2022
Registered cases of infectious and parasitic diseases in patients were recorded annually from 2010 to 2022. Rows are categorized by specific disease, such as typhoid and paratyphoid fever, other salmonella infections, and acute intestinal infections, showing incidence trends for each nosology. The indicator is annual and covers the entire country; data are provided without units of measurement as they represent the number of cases
- Viral hepatitis – total
- Airborne infections — Influenza
- Air‑borne infections — Scarlet fever
- Intestinal infections — Other salmonellosis infections
- Intestinal infections — of which bacterial dysentery
- Naturally occurring and zoonotic infections — Viral fevers transmitted by arthropods and viral hemorrhagic fevers2))
- Air‑borne infections — Whooping cough

Set in numbers
Rosstat data for 2010–2022. Series: 70, periods: 6. Breakdown: Intestinal infections — Typhoid and paratyphoid fevers A, B, C and unspecified…; Intestinal infections — Other salmonellosis infections; Intestinal infections — Acute intestinal infections; Intestinal infections — of which bacterial dysentery; Viral hepatitis — total and others
Airborne infections — Acute infections of the upper respiratory tract: the indicator increased from 28,253 to 42,387 for 2010–2022 — by 50%. The highest value was 42,387 (2022), the lowest was 28,253 (2010). This is an average annual growth of 3.44%. Up to 2020, the change was +18%, after — +27.2%. Of the 24 largest series, 8 increased, 16 decreased
All table numbers are series: 70
How to read this table
Differences between rows allow for an assessment of the incidence structure by individual pathologies, including various types of intestinal infections. Comparing indicators from different years enables tracking the dynamics of specific infection spread across the entire territory of Russia. The list contains seventy rows, each corresponding to a specific disease type or group of infectious diseases
What is visible in these numbers
Five highest values: Airborne infections — Acute infections… (42,387), Airborne infections — Chickenpox (821), Intestinal infections — Acute intestinal infections (813), Viral hepatitis — total (93.6), Airborne infections — Influenza (88.7). The gap between the highest and lowest is 4.2 million times. The top five account for 99.6% of the total across all positions — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Annual observations, 6 periods in the dataset. Of 150 possible values, 150 are filled (100%); data gaps are virtually absent
The same indicator for other periods
These series cannot be stitched together Over the common period 2015 values diverge — Rosstat recalculated the indicator using a revised methodology. They cannot be combined into a single chart: a break would appear at the junction, which did not actually occur

Period and application
Statistics are updated based on annual reports from healthcare authorities. Data for the period from 2010 to 2022 are useful for epidemiologists, medical professionals, and public health specialists analyzing the sanitary-epidemiological situation. The information reflects only officially registered cases of disease in patients
How it is calculated
Rosstat notes: Including: bacterial dysentery (shigellosis), acute intestinal infections caused by identified bacterial, viral pathogens, unspecified infectious pathogens, as well as foodborne toxicoinfections, etc. In 2010, only hemorrhagic fevers
