Since 2004, the number of hospitals has nearly halved, from 9,847 to 5,044 in 2024. Part of this is due to the merger of several hospitals into a single organization: in statistics, it is counted as one.
Excluding DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions.
