Injuries, poisoning and certain other consequences of external causes
For the period 2019–2022, statistics record the number of registered diagnoses of injuries, poisonings, and other consequences of external causes. Rows in the dataset are categorized by specific type of exposure, such as head or neck injuries, allowing for analysis of morbidity structure. The data covers all cases where a diagnosis was established by physicians during the reporting year and is presented in absolute values
- Total — External causes of morbidity and mortality, including traffic accidents
- Total — Other external causes
- ankle and foot injuries — External causes of morbidity and mortality, including traffic accidents
- wrist and hand injuries — External causes of morbidity and mortality, including transport accidents
- ankle joint and foot injuries — other external causes
- wrist and hand injuries — Other external causes
- head injuries — External causes of morbidity and mortality, including transport accidents

Total — External causes of morbidity and mortality, including transport…: the rate decreased from 13,558 to 12,971 over 2019–2022 — by 4.33%. The highest value was 13,558 (2019), the lowest was 12,217 (2020). Of the 25 largest series, 2 increased, 23 decreased
All table numbers are series: 84
How to read this table
The list contains forty-two rows, including the total for all cases and a breakdown by individual categories. Comparing rows allows for identifying the most frequent types of external causes and the share of specific injuries within the total number of diagnoses. This facilitates comparing the scale of different types of injuries over the four-year period
What is visible in these numbers
The five highest values: Total — External causes of morbidity and mortality (13,558), Total — Other external causes (12,227), injuries to the ankle and foot region — External causes… (2,385), wrist and hand injuries — External causes… (2,315), injuries to the ankle and foot region — External causes… (2,210). The gap between the highest and lowest is 105.3 times. The top five account for 65.9% of the total across all items — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Annual observations, the dataset contains 4 observation periods. The table has 100 values out of 100 possible, which is 100%; data gaps are virtually absent

Period and application
The statistics are relevant for healthcare professionals and demographers tracking the dynamics of external causes of injury. Information is updated annually based on reports from medical institutions nationwide. Data for 2019–2022 enables an assessment of the overall burden on the healthcare system during this period
How it is calculated
Noted in the source itself: accidental drowning, exposure to smoke, fire and flames, accidental poisoning (by drugs, alcohol)
1) Случайное утопление, воздействие дыма, огня и пламени, случайное отравление (наркотиками, алкоголем).
