The network of residential social service institutions has changed from 1970 to 2022, and these rows reflect the dynamics of their development. Data are categorized into organizations for adults and for children with disabilities; for the adult segment, the number of available places is also provided in thousands. This allows for tracking the growth in the number of institutions and their capacity over fifty-two years. Data are provided by the Ministry of Labor of Russia as of year-end

Availability of doctors and beds shows where state medicine fails and where demand for private services is directed

На конец 2022 г. на очереди для помещения в учреждения для взрослых состояли 5599 человек, в учреждения для детей - 12 детей. Работали 506 дома-интерната (пансионаты), в которых проживали 67,5 тыс. человек, 540 психоневрологических интернатов (158,9 тыс. человек), 32 геронтологический центр (7,2 тыс.человек).
Из общего числа зданий (3389 ед.) организаций социального обслуживания для граждан пожилого возраста и инвалидов (взрослых и детей) 4 находилось в аварийном состоянии, 13 - в ветхом, 58 требовали реконструкции.
