Furniture demand by federal subjects for the first quarter of 2022 is presented in this data: actual amounts in thousands of rubles for January, February, and March, as well as volume indices in percent to the same periods of the previous year at constant prices. Each of the 96 rows in the table corresponds to either an individual region, a federal district, or the national total. This allows for assessing the regional sales structure and comparing furniture demand dynamics across different parts of Russia at the beginning of the specified year

Of the 96 rows in the table, the first is the total for Russia, the next are federal districts, and the rest are individual regions. The first three columns provide actual sales amounts for the three periods, and the following three provide volume indices. Rows can be compared by amounts to see which regions have higher sales, or by indices to understand how sales volume changed relative to the previous year. For example, for the 'Russian Federation' row, an index of 85.3 indicates a 14.7 percent decrease in physical volume

Period and application
Statistics for the first quarter of 2022 are final and provided by Rosstat for all subjects of the country without exception. These figures will be useful for furniture manufacturers, retail chain representatives, market analysts, and investors tracking regional consumption indicators and sales dynamics in specialized stores. The data allows for a detailed study of the geographic distribution of demand and an assessment of consumer activity in each specific region of Russia throughout the first three months of 2022
How it is calculated
Turnover per capita shows where the buyer is solvent and whether it is worth opening a point of sale, and where the market is already saturated
