Twenty‑five years of observations on where companies allocate capital are compiled in this investment activity overview. Rows show specific purposes, including automation and mechanisation of production or changes in product range. Shares are given as percentages of all organisations, allowing assessment of business priorities from 2000 to 2024. Statistics are based on regular sample surveys carried out by Rosstat to identify key directions of development of production capacity in the country

Different investment directions are listed in separate rows, so one can compare the popularity of specific goals in a given year or track changes in interest in a particular strategy over the whole period. For example, if in 2000 the share of organisations investing with an unchanged product range was 42 percent, by 2024 the figure had shifted to 38 percent. Comparing these series helps understand how corporate strategies regarding modernisation and output expansion have evolved
