Distribution of organizations by assessment of investment goals
From 2000 to 2023 organizations evaluated their fixed‑asset investment objectives, presented as shares of the total surveyed companies. Objectives include expanding product range or automating existing production. Row breakdown shows which tasks were priority in different years, and percentages indicate the weight of each specific goal in the overall investment decisions

For example, the share of organizations investing with an unchanged product range was 42 percent in 2000 and 30 percent in 2023. Comparing column values for different years shows how companies’ approaches to renewing production capacity and introducing new technologies evolved over the observation period

Statistics are based on sample surveys of investment activity and cover the period 2000–2023. The information is published in the Russian Statistical Yearbook 2024 and will be useful for economic researchers studying business motivation for fixed‑asset investment. The data enable analysis of long‑term changes in investment priorities of Russian organizations without the need for complex calculations
