Rosstat publishes such data in the 'Demographic Yearbook' section to analyze gender balance. The data shows the total population size and the female-to-male ratio in the country for each of the specified dates. These snapshots help illustrate how the demographic structure has changed over decades. Note that values are provided in thousands of people without age or regional breakdowns

How to read this table
The rows illustrate population growth and changes in the sex ratio. In 1965, there were 1208 women for every thousand men. By 1975, this figure may have changed, reflecting shifts in fertility, mortality, and migration. For analyzing demographic balance, it is more effective to compare the sex structure rather than absolute population figures
