How to read this table

Comparing regions is convenient due to the breakdown by federal districts and specific oblasts. It is possible to see in which entities the share of the rural female population is higher or lower, and how age groups are distributed within each district. Data across all 97 rows allow for a comparison of the demographic situation in large and small regions for a single reporting period

Period and application

The statistics were compiled based on the results of the 2020 All-Russian Population Census and reflect the demographic state at that specific time. The information is relevant for demographers, regional authorities, and sociologists studying migration and the social structure of rural areas. Data updates for this form follow the schedule for publishing official census results

How it is calculated

The age composition of the population determines how many years the demand for children's goods in the region will persist and when the demand for medical services for the elderly will begin to grow
