How to read this table

The rows allow for a comparison of the demographic situation nationwide with indicators for specific federal districts and regions. By comparing regional data, one can identify where the urban population is younger or older. Each row contains information on the number of residents distributed by sex and age criteria, enabling analysis of the population structure without reference to dynamic changes

What is visible in these numbers

Table columns: Total; including by age, years

50 out of 50 possible values are filled (100%); there are practically no data gaps

Period and application

The data is relevant for analyzing the demographic structure of cities as of 2015, adjusted for the 2020 census. The information is presented as a one-time snapshot rather than a time series. These indicators are useful for demographers, regional authorities, and sociologists for planning social infrastructure and assessing the human resource potential of urban areas in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation

How it is calculated

Demographics is the most inertial forecast of those existing: these series show a decade ahead where the number of employees will increase and where it will decrease
