Average monthly nominal gross salary across the full range of organizations. Gross means before tax: net pay is about thirteen percent lower.
Data for 2018–2021 are missing from the series: the current Rosstat publication ends in 2018, while the monthly series starts in 2022. Missing years are not imputed.
Values from 2022 onward represent the average of twelve months. An incomplete year is not included in the table: an average based on several months is not comparable to a full-year average, and December is about forty percent higher than November due to annual bonuses.
The arithmetic mean is significantly higher than the median: a few very high salaries pull the average up.

Three common reasons: different months are used, and December differs from August by about one and a half times; gross and net pay are confused; the scope of organizations differs, with the full range including small businesses, while large and medium-sized enterprises are excluded.
Average or median salary: what is the difference?
The average is the sum of all salaries divided by the number of employees. The median is the salary above and below which exactly half of employees fall. The median is always lower and closer to people's actual earnings.
