Textile products: gross value added adjustment
at current prices
Unobserved economic operations that are not captured by direct methods are accounted for in the gross value added of the textile industry through specific adjustments. The 18 rows of the table distribute data across various economic sectors, from agriculture to mining and quarrying, allowing for an assessment of unrecorded activity volumes at current prices. The data covers the period from 2011 to 2016, providing the opportunity to compare indicators by year to analyze the structure of the unobserved economy within the textile segment

Set in numbers
Rosstat data for 2011–2016. Series: 71, periods: 6. Measurement unit — at current prices. Breakdown: Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry — K…; Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry — v…; Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry — z…; Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry — K…; Section B / Fishing, fish farming — Adjustment of gross… and others
Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry — Adjustment…: the indicator fell from 52.4 to 38.9 over 2011–2016 — by 25.8%. The highest value was 52.4 (2011), the lowest was 38.9 (2016). This is an average annual decline of 5.78%. Up to 2014 the change was −15.3%, after that −12.4%. Of the 21 largest series, 10 increased and 11 decreased
All table numbers are series: 71
How to read this table
Economic sectors serve as the table rows, reflecting the specific activities where adjustments occur. Comparing values between rows helps identify which specific sector contributes most to the volume of unobserved operations in textile manufacturing. For example, indicators for the agriculture and forestry sector changed from 52.4 in 2011 to 1.388898057 in 2016, clearly illustrating the dynamics of adjustments at current prices for each specific area over the six-year period
What is visible in these numbers
The five highest values: Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry (52.4), Section A / Agriculture, hunting and forestry (50.5), Section B / Fishing, fish farming — Adjustment… (28.9), Section B / Fishing, fish farming — including… (19.2), Section F / Construction — Adjustment of gross… (18.6). The gap between the highest and lowest is 116,444 times. The top five account for 73% of the total across all items — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Observations are annual; there are 6 periods in total. 150 of 150 possible values are filled (100%) — missing data are virtually absent

Period and application
All data relate to the period from 2011 to 2016 and are presented in current prices. This statistical dataset is useful for economists, analysts, and national accounts researchers studying the shadow sector and its valuation methods in industry. The information was prepared by Rosstat for an in-depth analysis of economic activity that remains hidden from standard statistical observation and can be used to refine macroeconomic calculations for the textile industry
How it is calculated
These accounts are used when it is necessary to assess the size of one’s market from the top down: from the entire economy to the industry, rather than from one’s own sales upward
