From 2010 to 2023, railway track length in Russia ranged from 122 to 124 thousand kilometers. Statistics distinguish three categories of tracks: total length, public use tracks, and non-public use tracks. This allows for assessing the share of main lines in the total network and the volume of private or siding tracks. Data is collected at the end of each year and presented in thousands of kilometers
