The total number of pensioners in the country changes from 2017 to 2026, with rows representing different population groups. Indicators are divided into the total number of recipients of old-age and disability benefits. Data is provided in thousands of people as of January 1 each year, allowing for the tracking of annual trends across various categories of citizens nationwide

How to read this table
Row distinctions allow for an assessment of the pension population structure. The total number of benefit recipients can be compared with those retired due to age or disability. This shows the proportion of people with disabilities within the total population and the distribution of major pensioner categories. All figures are in thousands of people as of the beginning of the reporting year
What is visible in these numbers

Annual data covers the period from 2017 to 2026. Information is updated according to the Rosstat publication schedule. The statistics are useful for demographers, social security specialists, and those studying population composition and the social support needs of the elderly
How it is calculated
Notes to the table: The total number of pensioners includes persons registered and receiving a pension in the system of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund (2017 – 2022 — Pension Fund of the Russian Federation), Ministry of Defen.... Since 2023, data are provided on the number of persons registered and receiving a pension in the system of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation
1) В общую численность пенсионеров включаются лица, состоящие на учете и получающие пенсию в системе Фонда пенсионного и социального страхования (2017 – 2022 гг. - Пенсионного фонда Российской Федерации), Министерстве обороны Российской Федерации, Министерстве внутренних дел Российской Федерации, Федеральной службе безопасности Российской Федерации, Федеральной службе исполнения наказаний Минюста России, судьи, пребывающие в отставке, состоящие на учете в Судебном департаменте при Верховном Суде Российской Федерации и получающие ежемесячное пожизненное содержание, с 1 января 2017 года – лица, получающие пенсию в системе Генеральной прокуратуры Российской Федерации и Следственного комитета Российской Федерации, с 1 января 2021 года – лица, получающие пенсию в системе Федеральной службы судебных приставов (в соответствии с Законом Российской Федерации от 12 февраля 1993 г. N 4468-I «О пенсионном обеспечении лиц, проходивших военную службу, службу в органах внутренних дел, Государственной противопожарной службе, органах по контролю за оборотом наркотических средств и психотропных веществ, учреждениях и органах уголовно-исполнительной системы, войсках национальной гвардии Российской Федерации, органах принудительного исполнения Российской Федерации, и их семей»). Без учета статистической информации по Донецкой Народной Республике (ДНР), Луганской Народной Республике (ЛНР), Запорожской и Херсонской областям.
2) С 2023 г. приведены данные о численности лиц, состоящих на учете и получающих пенсию в системе Фонда пенсионного и социального страхования Российской Федерации.
3) Данные за 2017-2022 гг. приведены с учетом ВПН-2020.
4) За 2026 г. информация не публикуется в соответствии с частью 10 статьи 5 Федерального закона от 29 ноября 2007 г. No 282-ФЗ "Об официальном статистическом учете и системе государственной статистики в Российской Федерации".
5) Данные рассчитаны в соответствии с актуализированной Методикой расчета баланса трудовых ресурсов и оценки затрат труда (утверждена приказом Росстата от 29 сентября 2017 г. No 647).
