Mean, median, and modal values of employee wages
Three different methods for estimating the income levels of employees of organizations are presented in the statistics for the period from 2017 to 2023. The rows differ by indicator type: average wage, median value, and mode. Data are collected based on sample surveys and exclude small businesses, allowing for a focus on large and medium-sized enterprises. Indicators are calculated based on recorded payments for April of each year

How to read this table
The difference between these three indicators provides a realistic picture of income distribution. The arithmetic mean is often higher due to high executive salaries, whereas the median divides all employees into two equal groups by pay level. The mode indicates the most frequent wage level found in the sample. Comparing these rows helps to understand how much the incomes of specific groups deviate from the overall average
