The row distinctions differentiate between external and internal migration to illustrate movement structures. Comparing indicators reveals the proportion of arrivals moving between federal subjects versus those remaining within their own region. This enables assessment of interregional flow intensity and the total number of migrants arriving in the country during the specified years
What is visible in these numbers
The largest value belongs to “arrivals — total” — 4.2 million persons; the smallest is “movements within Russia — with countries outside the former USSR” at -16,462 persons. The gap between them is 255-fold.
