Russia's reserve assets were 443.59 billion US dollars in 2010, reaching 442.73 billion by 2023. The list includes 65 countries whose indicators are presented for comparison at year-end over fourteen years. These monetary authority reserve assets exclude monetary gold, allowing for an assessment of the volume of liquid funds available to the state to ensure economic stability and meet international foreign currency obligations

Indicators are provided in billions of US dollars and are recorded annually at the end of the reporting period, making the data suitable for analyzing long-term changes in the structure of public finances at the international level

Period and application

The data is valid for the period from 2010 to 2023 and is regularly updated by Rosstat as refined information is received from international organizations. The statistics are useful for economists, researchers, and anyone studying the macroeconomic stability of states and the foreign trade indicators of countries worldwide. The presented series allows for tracking changes in the financial position of each of the 65 countries listed over a period of one and a half decades

How it is calculated

Rosstat notes: Per Bank of Russia data — foreign exchange reserves. Reserve assets exclude financial claims between euro area countries and financial claims in euros of euro area countries on other countries
