Hundreds of thousands of hectares of fruit plantations are harvested annually across all farm categories nationwide. Data is presented by crop type, including pome fruits and berry bushes, broken down by regions, federal districts, and the Russian Federation total. For each plantation type, two key parameters are provided: physical area in thousands of hectares and the share of harvested area relative to the total area in bearing age, expressed as a percentage

How to read this table
Table rows sequentially list the Russian Federation, federal districts, and individual constituent entities, allowing for comparison of harvesting intensity across different territories. Columns are grouped by crop type, making it easy to compare indicators for pome fruits, stone fruits, and berry bushes within a single region or assess differences between neighboring entities. This data structure helps identify which regions have a harvested area share closest to the total area in bearing age

Period and application
Statistics are presented as a current snapshot of all farm categories. The information is useful for agronomists, agricultural market analysts, and representatives of relevant agencies to assess the current state of the fruit growing industry. Data is updated by Rosstat as part of regular agricultural bulletins, allowing for timely monitoring of harvesting scales for each individual constituent entity of the Russian Federation
How it is calculated
Data on sowings, yields, and livestock are used for planning raw material procurement, crop estimation, and forecasting food prices
