Availability of combine harvesters in agricultural organizations: units per 1,000 hectares of sown area
The number of combines per 1000 hectares of crops and plantings of relevant agricultural crops in Russian organizations is specified. Rows include data for the Russian Federation, federal districts, and individual constituent entities, such as the Tula Region, allowing for an assessment of the technical equipment of the agricultural sector in different parts of the country. The indicator is measured in units of machinery per unit area for 2023 and 2024, characterizing the state of the machinery fleet in agricultural organizations during this period
Chart of combine harvester availability in Russian agricultural organizations for 2023–2024
Set in numbers
Rosstat data for 2023–2024. Series: 273, period: 2. Table rows: Russian Federation — grain harvesters; Russian Federation — corn harvesters; Russian Federation — potato harvesters; Russian Federation — flax harvesters; Russian Federation — sugar beet harvesters (excluding haulm removal… and others
Voronezh Oblast — potato harvesters: indicator rose from 26.7 to 43.1 for 2023–2024 — by 61.3%. Of the 25 largest rows, 17 increased, 8 decreased
All table numbers are series: 273
How to read this table
Table rows vary by geographic coverage, presenting both national totals and breakdowns by federal districts and regions. Values can be compared within a single region across different years, or between different constituent entities or districts within a single year. This allows for observing territorial differences in combine harvester availability and tracking changes in the technical equipment of farms over the last two years
What is visible in these numbers
Top five values: Voronezh Oblast — potato harvesters (43.1), Central Federal District — flax harvesters (24.3), Russian Federation — potato harvesters (15), Vladimir Oblast — potato harvesters (13.7), Russian Federation — flax harvesters (13.3). Gap between highest and lowest — by 177.5 times. The top five account for 65.6% of the total across all positions — distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Annual observations covering 2 periods. Cells with numbers: 50 out of 50 (100%) — almost no empty cells remain

Period and application
The presented data covers the period from 2023 to 2024 and is updated by Rosstat as agricultural status bulletins become available. The statistics will be useful to agro-industrial complex specialists, agricultural machinery market analysts, and representatives of relevant agencies involved in the technical re-equipment of enterprises and monitoring the efficiency of harvesting machinery use under various regional climatic and economic conditions
How it is calculated
This year’s harvest and livestock numbers determine next year’s procurement prices: processors need such rows earlier than supplier price lists
