Retirement rate of agricultural machinery by year
The share of agricultural machinery written off due to wear is calculated as a percent of the number of machines at the start of the year. The statistics for 2020–2025 show changes in this indicator for different machine types. Rows are grouped by category: tractors without earth‑moving machines, tractors with mounted equipment, and roller combines. Comparing these values reveals which type of equipment is renewed faster and how intensively assets are written off in agriculture
Chart of the liquidation rate of agricultural machinery by type, 2020–2025
- Flax harvesters
- Sowing machines — Beet harvesters (excluding tops harvesters)
- windrowers
- Forage harvesters
- Cultivators - total
- Sowing machines — Milking machines and units - total
- Tractors mounted with earth-moving, land reclamation, and other machines
- of which combined units
- Sowing machines — Sprinkler machines and installations (without irrigation)
- Sowing complexes
Set in numbers
17 series are published here, from 2020 to 2025, 6 reporting periods. 102 values in total.
“Tractors (excluding tractors mounted with earth-moving, reclamation and other machines)” declined by 39.9% between 2020 and 2025, from 3.6 to 2.2. The lowest value in the series is 2 in 2024.
All table numbers are series: 17
How to read this table
Different machine types experience varying wear, so table rows are divided into purpose groups. It is possible to compare write‑off rates of standard tractors and specialized machines with reclamation or earth‑moving equipment. Combines are also included, allowing assessment of overall fleet retirement dynamics. Comparing these rows shows which category is most frequently liquidated over the six‑year period
What is visible in these numbers
“Flax harvesters” leads the table with 11.4, “Sowing machines — Sprinkler machines and installations (without irrigation)” closes it with 1.2. The gap between them is 9.7-fold.
