GDP expenditure deflators: clothing

From the first quarter of 1996 to the fourth quarter of 2011, Rosstat recorded price changes for clothing within GDP expenditure components. Dynamics are presented quarterly as a percentage of the same period of the previous year. The data are categorized by row into total GDP, final consumption expenditure, and household expenditure, allowing for the tracking of each category's impact on the cost structure of clothing in the national economy over this fifteen-year period

How to read this table

The various GDP expenditure components in the rows help illustrate how deflators relate to consumer spending and general macroeconomic indicators. Comparing these series demonstrates the extent to which clothing price changes in the household retail segment deviated from general GDP deflators in a given quarter. Each row contains unique values reflecting the price situation without the influence of inflation accumulated in previous periods, as calculations are based strictly on the corresponding quarter of the preceding year
