Indicators are compared horizontally by year from 2010 to 2024 and vertically by country. This helps identify states with stable population levels and those exhibiting other trends

Period and application

This information is published in the Russian Statistical Yearbook and is intended for demographers, economists, and sociologists. Data is updated annually as part of new statistical publications. The 2010–2024 period allows for the analysis of long-term demographic processes in CIS countries

1) По большинству стран приведена численность постоянного населения. По странам СНГ – на конец года. По странам дальнего зарубежья – среднегодовая численность населения.

2) Здесь и далее, если не оговорено дополнительно, без территории левобережья р. Днестр и г. Бендеры. Данные с 2014 г. пересчитаны на основе итогов переписи населения. С 2014 г. – население с обычным местом жительства.

3) Данные Статотдела ООН.

4) Здесь и далее, если не оговорено дополнительно, Китай без Гонконга, Тайваня и Макао.

1) For the majority of countries the number of resident population is presented. For the CIS countries – end of year population. For non-CIS countries – mid-year population.

2) Hereinafter, unless stated otherwise, without data on the left-bank territory of the Dnestr River and Bendery city. Data since 2014 are recalculated based on the results of the population census. Since 2014- population with usual place of residence.
