How to read this table

The row distinctions allow for a comparison of cash volumes in Russia and neighboring states. By comparing annual indicators, one can observe changes in the scale of cash circulation for each specific country during the selected period. Note that because national currencies are used, values in billions cannot be directly aggregated, though trends within each individual series can be assessed

What is visible in these numbers

The table is 80% filled: Rosstat does not publish every cell, and the gaps are left as they are rather than interpolated.

Period and application

Statistics are compiled based on data from the 2024 Russian Statistical Yearbook. The information covers the period from 2010 to 2023 and is intended for economists, banking sector specialists, and researchers of CIS macroeconomic indicators. Data for Russia and other countries are presented as annual snapshots

1) М0 (наличные деньги) – деньги в обращении (банкноты и монета, находящиеся за пределами банков).

4) Данные приведены в млрд евро на основе критериев резидентства в Еврозоне.
