The rows in the list allow for the separation of domestic transport in Russia and travel to Commonwealth of Independent States countries. By comparing these indicators, one can assess the scale of rail traffic with neighboring countries relative to the total passenger turnover across the country. Data are presented in billions of passenger-kilometers and cover a fourteen-year period

Period and application

Statistics are compiled for the analysis of rail transport volumes and include data from the Russian Statistical Yearbook. The information is useful for transport industry specialists and economists to assess the intensity of rail network usage. Data updates follow the Rosstat yearbook publication schedule

1) Без данных по территории левобережья р. Днестр и г. Бендеры.

2) С 2017 г. изменен порядок учета перевозок пассажиров в пригородном сообщении, пользующихся льготами на бесплатный проезд.
