Use of secondary energy resources

· dynamics annual · rows: 4 · periods: 4 · section: Russian Statistical Yearbook (2024)

From 2020 to 2023, Russia tracked the volumes of secondary energy resources used. The rows distinguish between combustible resources, expressed in million tonnes of coal equivalent and as a percentage of total output, and thermal resources in million gigacalories. These indicators allow for tracking the distribution of secondary raw materials in the energy balance over four years

Set in numbers

The table holds 4 series, running from 2020 to 2023, 4 reporting periods. 16 values in total.

“горючие — млн т условного топлива — значение” declined by 17.2% between 2020 and 2023, from 19.8 to 16.4. The lowest value in the series is 10.6 in 2021.

All table numbers are series: 4

How to read this table

The table rows allow for the classification of resources by physical properties and methods of application. It is possible to compare combustible materials in tonnes of coal equivalent with thermal resources in gigacalories, as well as to assess the share of combustible materials in the total output volume. Different units of measurement in the rows help to understand the scale of use for each type of energy

What is visible in these numbers

“горючие — в процентах от выхода — значение” leads the table with 95.9, “горючие — млн т условного топлива — значение” closes it with 16.4. The gap between them is 5.8-fold.
