Rows differ by purpose and type of recreation objects, allowing comparison of the scale of different institution types. Main indicators include the total number of all accommodated persons, the number of Russian citizens and the share of children among them. Comparing these rows reveals the structure of vacationers and the proportion of domestic citizens in the overall flow. All values are given in thousands of persons for easy comparison of population groups

What is visible in these numbers

The table is 90% filled: Rosstat does not publish every cell, and the gaps are left as they are rather than interpolated.

Period and application

Information published in the Russian Statistical Yearbook for 2025. The data are relevant for planning recreation infrastructure and assessing social load on sanatoriums and camps. Rosstat data are useful for tourism industry representatives, government bodies and market service researchers

1) В 2010 г. – с учетом круизных и прогулочных судов, а также наземного и водного транспорта, переоборудованного под средства размещения, с 2022 г. – включая пансионаты.

2) В целях обеспечения статистической сопоставимости показатели численности лиц, размещенных в домах отдыха, базах отдыха и прочих организациях отдыха не публикуются.

3) Без учета микропредприятий.

2) In order to ensure statistical comparability, the indicators of visitors accommodated in holiday hotels, recreational centers and other recreation facilities are not published.
