In the country's health‑resort establishments more than five million people were accommodated, according to the 2025 statistical snapshot. Data are given in thousands of persons and divided by type of establishment: total health‑resort establishments and separate categories. Rows differ by composition of accommodated persons: total number, Russian citizens and among them children, allowing the structure of vacationers to be seen. The indicator is a snapshot without yearly dynamics and covers all regions of the country

One can compare the total number of persons with the number of Russian citizens or isolate the share of children among all accommodated persons. The difference between the total row and sub‑categories helps assess what part of the overall figure is occupied by specific population groups. Information is presented in thousands of persons for easy comparison of the scale of different vacationer categories

Period and application

The information is compiled within the Russian Statistical Yearbook 2025. Rosstat statistics are relevant for planning the load on health‑resort facilities and analysing the accessibility of sanatorium treatment. Data cover all types of health‑resort establishments and are suitable for assessing the structure of use of the country's therapeutic‑preventive capacities

1) Санатории-профилактории, курортные поликлиники, бальнеологические лечебницы, грязелечебницы.

2) В целях обеспечения статистической сопоставимости показатели численности лиц, размещенных в санаториях, и прочих курортных организациях не публикуются.
