Passenger transport volumes on tourist and excursion routes by inland waterway are recorded in columns by year from 2000 to 2024. Rows differ by indicator type: the number of passengers carried and passenger turnover are provided. This allows for a comparison between the number of people traveling and the volume of passenger turnover. Annual values show changes in demand for river tourist trips: the number of passengers carried in 2000 was 25699.5, and in 2024 it was 12085.8

The row indicators reflect different parameters of water tourism and should be distinguished during analysis. The number of passengers carried represents the physical number of people on board, whereas passenger turnover accounts for the distance traveled. Comparing these series helps determine whether trips have become longer or shorter on average over the period. Data are presented on an annual basis and cover the entire period from 2000 to 2024 inclusive

Data from the Russian Statistical Yearbook are updated annually and contain information on inland waterway transport. This information is useful for tourism industry specialists, transport company representatives, and river shipping researchers. The statistics cover only tourist and excursion routes, allowing them to be distinguished from regular transport services
