Comparing these values shows the share of children, youth, or elderly people in the total population across different years
What is visible in these numbers
The table is 80% filled: Rosstat does not publish every cell, and the gaps are left as they are rather than interpolated.

Period and application
Statistics are published in the Statistical Yearbook of Russia. Data is current as of January 1 and covers a twenty-four-year period. This information will be useful to demographers, sociologists, planning specialists, and anyone studying the age structure of Russia's population
