In the original Rosstat table the units change mid‑series: up to and including 2021 values are given in millions of dollars, from 2022 onward—in billions. On the page everything is converted to billions, so the series is comparable as a whole.
More than half of export value in most years is oil, gas, petroleum products and metals, so the series mirrors movements of world commodity prices.
Indicator in dollars: part of the changes reflects exchange rates and world prices, not physical export volumes.
