How to read this table

Differences between rows are determined by the geographic location of the constituent entities, allowing for comparisons between individual regions and federal districts. The table reflects data for the Russian Federation as a whole, as well as regional breakdowns, making it possible to see the variance in carrot yield depending on climatic conditions or agricultural practices. By comparing the two columns for different years, changes in vegetable harvest results for each specific territory can be easily identified

What is visible in these numbers

Five highest values: Tula Region — all categories of farms (549.2), Moscow Region — all categories of farms (487.4), Ivanovo Region — all categories of farms (469.2), Tambov Region — all categories of farms (417.8), Yaroslavl Region — all categories of farms (413). The top five account for 30.1% of the total for all positions

Annual observations; total periods 2. All 50 of 50 possible values (100%) are filled, i.e. the table is almost entirely complete

Period and application

Recent data for 2023 and 2024 are available for analysis by agricultural specialists, agronomists, and food security researchers. Rosstat has prepared this breakdown to assess the efficiency of vegetable production at the regional level. The materials are useful for compiling comparative yield reports and planning agricultural activities, as they show the actual table carrot harvest results in the country for the specified two-year period

How it is calculated

This year’s harvest and livestock numbers determine next year’s procurement prices: processors need such rows earlier than supplier price lists
