How to read this table
The differences between rows are due to the level of administrative division presented in the bulletin. The gross harvest for the entire Russian Federation can be compared with the results of individual federal districts or specific regions, such as Belgorod Oblast. This approach helps identify which regions contribute most to pulse production and how harvest volumes are distributed among various constituent entities
What is visible in these numbers
Five highest values: Russian Federation — All categories of farms (59,538), Southern Federal District — All categories of farms (12,504), Central Federal District — All categories of farms (10,913), Ryazan Region — All categories of farms (2,199), Tambov Region — All categories of farms (2,189). The gap between the highest and lowest is 89,397 times. The top five account for 92.3% of the total across all entries — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Observations are annual, with 2 observation periods in the dataset. The table contains 50 values out of 50 possible, i.e. 100%; data gaps are virtually absent

How it is calculated
This year’s harvest and livestock numbers determine next year’s procurement prices: processors need such rows earlier than supplier price lists
