Structure of feed consumption by cattle (excluding cows) by type of feed

· snapshot · rows: 94 · periods: 5 · section: Bulletins on the state of agriculture (electronic versions)

Twenty-eight point six percent of all feed for cattle excluding cows in the country's agricultural organizations consists of succulent feed. This information is presented by region, federal district, and for Russia as a whole, allowing for an assessment of animal diet composition across different territories. The indicator covers the structure of feed consumption, where the total sum is taken as one hundred percent, and individual feed types are highlighted in the corresponding table columns

How to read this table

Table rows are grouped geographically from the national level down to individual subjects, such as the Belgorod Region. Comparing these series helps to understand how approaches to cattle feeding differ across various climatic and economic conditions. Each row contains data on the share of a specific feed type, enabling the identification of predominant components in animal diets within a specific territory without reference to absolute mass values

What is visible in these numbers

Indicator set: Total feed; including: — concentrates; including: — compound feeds; including: — roughage; including: — succulent

Cells with numbers 125 out of 125 (100%); there are virtually no gaps in the data

Period and application

The information was prepared by Rosstat based on reports from agricultural organizations. These data are in demand by agro-industrial complex specialists, livestock market analysts, and researchers studying regional specifics of feed production. The relevance of the data allows them to be used for assessing cattle feed security and planning agricultural production volumes under current economic conditions

How it is calculated

Sown areas show what will be abundant and what will be scarce several months before it is reflected on the shelf
