The indicator reflects the total volume of residential building completions in rural areas from all sources of financing. It includes construction at public expense as well as by private developers, as well as housing commissioned by households at their own expense or using borrowed funds. Data are provided in millions of square meters of total floor area and are not broken down by construction type

Table rows are categorized by the sources of financing for the commissioned residential buildings. The first column shows the total construction volume, while the last column shows the share of private houses built by rural residents themselves. To analyze dynamics, it is important to compare both absolute values and the ratio between total completions and private construction. Attention should also be paid to the scale of population participation in the creation of the housing stock

Period and application
Data are provided for three reference years: 1990, 1995, and 2000. The indicator is updated as part of regular Rosstat statistical observations, although the specific frequency does not always coincide with standard periods. This information is useful for authorities to evaluate rural housing policy, for construction organizations to analyze the market, and for researchers studying the transformation of rural territories
