The volume of construction activities includes all types of construction work performed by economic entities in Russia. The methodology accounts for both current and investment expenditures on the construction of buildings, structures, and utility networks. The indicator is measured in monetary terms, allowing for an assessment of the construction industry's actual contribution to the national economy

The table presents two types of indicators: absolute volumes of work performed in millions of rubles and growth rates at constant prices compared to the previous year. Absolute values reflect the scale of the sector and allow for comparison of its dynamics with other industries. Growth rates show real dynamics excluding inflation, removing the distorting effect of price and tariff changes for construction materials and services

The data covers the period from 2000 to 2000 inclusive. The indicator is updated annually as part of official Rosstat statistics. The information is useful for construction companies for market analysis, for investors when assessing investment prospects, and for government authorities to develop industry and housing development programs
