Number of families registered as in need of residential premises
at year-end
From 2019 to 2024, Rosstat records the number of families registered as needing housing at the end of each year. The list presents three series: the total number of such families, families of disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and families of disabled persons and families with disabled children. This allows for a comparison of the total number of those in need with the number of privileged categories of citizens entitled to state housing support

Differences between the rows help estimate the share of privileged categories in the total volume of those in need. Looking at the data for individual series, one can see what proportion of the total number of families is made up of disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War and families with disabled children. All indicators are given in absolute values, which allows for tracking group sizes without additional calculations
