Labor force participation rate and employment rate

The share of the working-age population involved in the economy changed from 2019 to 2024. This statistical dataset reflects two key indicators: the labor force participation rate and the employment rate. Table rows are divided into three categories: total data for all adults, and separate indicators for men and women. All values are calculated as a percentage of the population aged 15 and older, allowing for comparison of trends within different groups

How to read this table

Differences between rows allow for tracking the gender aspect of labor activity in the country. One can see how employment indicators for men and women relate to each other, as well as assess the overall picture for the entire population aged 15 and older. Comparing these series helps to understand how actively different groups of people are involved in labor processes and how the labor force structure changes over five years

Period and application

Statistical information covers the period from 2019 to 2024 and is presented on an annual basis. Data is updated annually and is suitable for labor market analysis, studying demographic changes, and assessing the social activity of citizens. Rosstat data is based on the labor force survey, providing an insight into the actual state of employment in the country
