How to read this table

Table rows vary by country and Russia, and within them by transaction type: exports, imports or balance. Balance is calculated as the difference between exports and imports, so a positive value indicates exports exceeding imports, and a negative value indicates the opposite. The extreme values in the 'Exports' row show that in 2010 Russia exported 397,068 million US dollars, while in 2023 it exported only 425.1 million, reflecting changes in foreign trade dynamics

What is visible in these numbers

Highest values: Exports (492 907), Imports (290 564), Europe — Germany / Balance (276 186). The gap between the highest and lowest is 61.4 times. The top three account for 74.4% of the total across all items — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top

Observations are annual, with 8 observation periods in the dataset. There are 200 values in the table out of 200 possible, which is 100%; data gaps are virtually absent

The same indicator for other periods

These series cannot be stitched together Over the common period 2010 values diverge — Rosstat recalculated the indicator using a revised methodology. They cannot be combined into a single chart: a break would appear at the junction, which did not actually occur
