How to read this table
Table rows are categorized by country: Russia, Austria, and Belarus, highlighting differences in the scale of nature conservation across these states. Indicators should be compared by year, as presented in the columns, to assess the stability of protected land areas in each country. The data covers twelve years, providing an opportunity to compare national territory protection systems
What is visible in these numbers
Top five values: Russia — Area of reserves and other state-protected territories (2.4 million), Spain — Area of reserves and other protected territories (363,594), Germany — Area of reserves and other protected territories (217,600), Italy — Area of reserves and other protected territories (138,202), Norway — Area of reserves and other protected territories (109,801). The gap between the highest and lowest is 251,825 times. The top five account for 92.5% of the total across all entries — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Annual observations; total periods: 2. 50 out of 50 possible values (100%) are filled — missing data are virtually absent
The same indicator for other periods
These series cannot be stitched together Over the common period 2010 values diverge — Rosstat recalculated the indicator using a revised methodology. They cannot be combined into a single chart: a break would appear at the junction, which did not actually occur
