How to read this table

Differences between rows allow for comparing the contribution of specific territories to the national total. National averages can be compared with figures for the Central Federal District or Belgorod Oblast to determine the share of regional production. Comparing these series helps identify soybean crop concentration in specific constituent entities and assess the scale of the agricultural sector across different parts of the country

What is visible in these numbers

Top five values: Russian Federation (6,003), Central Federal District (2,586), Kursk Region (668.3), Belgorod Region (563.8), Southern Federal District (463.5). The gap between the highest and lowest is 7,923 times. The top five account for 81.2% of the total across all positions — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top

Observations are annual and cover 6 periods. Cells with numbers: 150 out of 150 (100%); data gaps are virtually absent

Period and application

Statistical data covers the period from 2015 to 2022 and is updated annually. Information on the total soybean harvest across all categories of farms is useful for agronomists, agricultural investors, and plant-based raw material market analysts. These indicators allow for assessing crop production efficiency in different regions and planning raw material procurement for processing. Data is collected by Rosstat to monitor food security and the development of the country's agricultural sector
