Number of representatives of indigenous numerically small peoples living in each Russian region and municipality. The table contains 456 rows, from Russia as a whole to individual municipal districts such as Kosh-Agachsky in the Altai Republic. The columns show total population and rural population separately, for Russia these are 3,460,803 and 902,722 people respectively. Rosstat collected these data to provide an accurate picture of the settlement of indigenous peoples

Table rows vary by type of settlement: total population and rural population only. These columns show in which regions indigenous peoples mainly live in cities and in which in rural areas. For example, in the Kosh-Agachsky district the rural population makes up a significant share of the total, while in some other regions the opposite is true. All data are presented for the current period without reference to specific years
