How to read this table
Comparing rows helps evaluate a specific region against its federal district or the national total. Each row corresponds to an administrative unit, showing where livestock mortality per herd turnover is above or below the average. Analysis over the two years reveals changes in animal husbandry and tracks indicator stability across territories during the period
What is visible in these numbers
Five highest values: Bryansk Region — Pigs (15.6), Belgorod Region — Pigs (15.6), Central Federal District — Pigs (15.1), Voronezh Region — Pigs (13.9), Russian Federation — Pigs (13.4). Gap between highest and lowest — by 368.5 times. The top five account for 53.7% of the total across all items — distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Observations are annual; total periods: 2. 50 of 50 possible values filled (100%); data gaps are virtually absent

Period and application
The statistics for 2021‑2022 are published by Rosstat in the agricultural situation bulletins. The information is useful for agri‑industry specialists, regional economics researchers and anyone studying livestock efficiency. The data are official and enable detailed regional monitoring of herd conditions without external sources
How it is calculated
This year’s harvest and livestock determine next year’s procurement prices: processors need such series earlier than supplier price lists
