How to read this table
The rows allow for comparison of the market share held by major commodity categories and their level of sub-grouping. By comparing annual values, the changing share of food, meat, and other goods in the consumer basket can be observed. This helps to understand which trade segments are becoming more or less significant in total sales volume, independent of absolute monetary values
What is visible in these numbers
Five largest values: All goods — value (100), Food products, including beverages and tobacco products — value (49), Dairy products — Alcoholic beverages — value (7.6), Dairy products — value (4.4), Meat and poultry products — value (4.1). The gap between the largest and smallest is 500 times. The top five account for 86% of the total across all items — the distribution is heavily skewed toward the top
Annual observations, 4 periods in the dataset. Of 100 possible values, 75 are filled (75%). Data are sparse — observations for many items were not conducted throughout the entire period, and summary totals for them should not be calculated
