How to read this table

The table rows present the structure of informal sector employment from various perspectives. The first row includes all employed persons of all ages. The following two rows break down status: self-employed and employees. The fourth row begins the age breakdown, and each subsequent row shows the percentage share of the preceding row. For example, the share of self-employed persons aged fifty to fifty-nine may differ significantly from the share of employees of the same age. Comparisons should be made between shares within each status and age group

What is visible in these numbers

The figures are index or percentage values, so they cannot be added up across rows: each one is measured against its own base.

Period and application

Data on the structure of informal sector employment by age and status is based on the results of labor force surveys for two thousand twenty-five. The data is updated annually. This information is useful for labor market researchers, social program developers, and those analyzing informal employment
