Age and sector of activity determine the structure of the labor force in Russia, as reflected by the 2025 data. This presents the shares of employed persons across various industries, including agriculture and mining, broken down by age groups up to seventy years and older. Each row of the table corresponds to a specific type of economic activity, while the columns allow for an assessment of the age structure of workers in each sector, measured as a percentage of the total number of employed persons in the country

The table rows present the main types of economic activity, while the columns break down the employed by age groups from 15 to 70 and older. When comparing data, attention should be paid to the differences between shares in specific industries and age cohorts. For example, there is a noticeable concentration of young specialists in IT and the service sector, whereas the older generation predominates in agriculture

2025 data were obtained by Rosstat through sample labor force surveys and are updated annually. This data is useful for HR specialists, labor market analysts, representatives of educational institutions for planning specialist training, and anyone studying demographic changes and current trends in the structure of employment in Russia
